Our own Department of Orthopedics has our trauma team providing 24×7 Accident, Emergency, and Trauma services for the immediate management of Fracture Cases, Road Traffic Accident Victims, and multi-trauma victims. Our consultants possess the expertise in Medical Orthopedic Care combined with Surgical Skills.
Our specially designed joint preservation unit is dedicated to helping our patients avoid or delay knee replacement and other joint replacement operations through advances that have come about recently with respect to orthopedic care and orthopedic medicine. Under the guidance of our orthopedic doctors and bone doctors, we aim to preserve our patient joints, such as knee and hip replacement, especially at early and moderate stages.
Our sports injury clinic, under sports medicine, offers treatment services regarding ligament injury, meniscus injury, shoulder injury, tendon injury, and others, which can aid our patients in fully recovering and allowing them to resume their daily activities as well as sports without necessarily undergoing surgery.
Our Arthroplasty Unit within the Department of Orthopaedics achieves an efficient outcome in orthopedic knee replacement surgery, osteoarthritis knee replacement surgery, and hip joint replacement surgery. COMPLEX TRAUMA AND FRACTURE TREATMENT
Fracture treatment primarily aiming at restoring native bone structure and alignment ensuring mobility of patients at the earliest. This can be obtained by application of cast bandage or Surgery using plates, rods and screws. Recent advancements have enabled us to treat complex fractures with multiple fragments, pelvic- acetabular fractures, intra-articular fractures to be treated with surgical fixation and providing movements and early recovery for patients.Â

Joint replacement or Arthroplasty is performed for patients with joint damage suffering from Arthritis. During replacement surgery, the damaged parts of the joints are removed and replaced with metal, ceramic and polyethylene material as per patient requirements and they are made to walk with a pain-free lifestyle. Osteoarthritis – Degenerative changes happening in joints leading to pain and disability.Â
Rheumatoid arthritis – Multiple joints pain can be caused by rheumatoid arthritis. It is primarily an autoimmune disorder which means patients own immune system affecting own body tissues leading to damage of joint structures, pain and deformity. Primary management including medicines to control the immune system.Â
Osteonecrosis – Decreased blood supply to bone leading to bone cell death.

This is a recent advancement in orthopaedics to treat patients with arthritis at an early age to avoid or postpone joint replacement surgeries.
